Thanks to all the organising team

Post by Gavin »

Just back in work today, feeling enthused and reenergised despite arriving home in the early hours of this morning. Just wanted to publicly thank everyone involved for such a welcoming and stimulating weekend. I was great to meet everyone!

I also wanted to say how much I enjoyed the conference. Unfortunately, my work schedule turned into a complete disaster and ruined most of my plans for following it live, but I did manage to catch Mike and Jamie Ryder talks, and I’m now working my way through the other presentations as they appear online.

I tend to need a little time before I can formulate a considered response, and I already have quite a few thoughts and questions about Mike’s paper in particular. Would it be appropriate to start a separate discussion thread about individual conference papers here? I noticed that previous conferences don’t seem to have been discussed much on the forum, so I wasn’t quite sure what the usual practice is.

I think yeah, go ahead and open a thread for discussion regarding a particular talk - I floated this suggestion earlier that each conference paper could have its own linked forum topic. I certainly think it's worth a shot.
