Anyone up for Darktide or Vermintide 2?

Post by Jonas Hermann »

Hi warhammer conference people!

Would anyone be up for an occasional round of Darktide or Vermintide 2? As a middle aged gamer, I no longer feel the need to get yelled at by random strangers on the internet. I would rather play with some of you and get to know you better in the process.

I'm on Berlin time and weekends mostly work. I haven't played much so far though, so don't expect me to be fully stacked with top gear.

My Discord is alevanz3179, but I'm also open to alternatives like teamspeak, the way we did it in the days of yore.

I'd love to! And I fully get your point. I have very little experience with multiplayer games, I bought Darktide when it was on sale just to look at the landscape, which is gorgeous  . So I'd be delighted to give it a proper shot.

Right now there's the slight logistical issue of the heatwave (I live in Strasbourg). It's almost 40°C in my room, my computer, though recent and capable overheats by just running Valheim in multiplayer, so I'd rather wait until July.

That sounds like a great Idea!

I have Vermintide and enjoyed is as long as I had friends who played i too. Than the inevitable "find random people who abandon you when you not play sweaty perfect" started and that was..."fun":

I would gladly give Darktide a shot, I think it could be great.

Kill all enemies and then just walk around having an academic walk and talk about the surrounding architecture, the implications of the scenario regarding the overall motivations of our characters and the historic and real world analogies of the setting, just like Aristotle imagined the perfect scholary situation.

In 2 Weeks Summer Vacay is here and true to beeing a german nerd, I have booked a trip to my balcony, so I am rather available :ugeek:

I might be game for it as well, but I haven't played Vermintide 2, at all (only 1 and that was for a very brief time) but I know roughly how it goes.

Same goes here about the heatwave, we are expecting temperatures to skyrocket to 30+ degrees in Scotland (which is extreme!) so we might want to wait a couple of weeks and see if this subsides a bit.

I'm UK time, so 1 hour earlier than yous.

@Jonas, teamspeak, lol!
And Davien felt a kick inside her, as though some organ she never knew she’d possessed was suddenly pumping. She looked into their faces, her own little congregation, and they were connected to her, souls speaking to her soul. My family, she knew.

I'm def. up for it!
I don't think we should share stuff like steam names or discord names out here in the open, but I'll send you a PM right away.

Also up for Darktide, UTC time. Maybe we can setup a Discord group for gaming things?
